IT’S LAUNCH WEEK BABY!

On March 27th, I, Katie Cross, am launching my first book: Miss Mabel’s School for Girls. It’s an exciting new YA fantasy series about sixteen-year-old Bianca Monroe, a girl who has inherited a deadly curse. I’m kind of . . . okay . . . I’m really good at making swag. I have LOTS of swag for you to win in the big launch Giveaway Party.

You want to win an old candlestick, you say? How about a bag full of apothecary spices and herb satchels? A potions chest maybe? A skeleton key? A grimoire? A book mark? An amazon gift card? Great. Because I’m giving all those away and more.

Head over to www.missmabels.com, the official release site for Miss Mabel’s School for Girls, for instructions on how to get in on the giveaway- and get your hands on the fast-paced thrills of this amazing new fantasy experience.

How does an author prepare for a book launch?

Not sure, but I recommend not following my particular route. Here is a list of things-I-haven’t-done-in-weeks-because-I’m-launching-my-first-book-and-will-have-to-do-soon:

– Shower

– Throw away curdled milk

– Also throw away moldy vegetables

– Actually, throw away entire fridge

– Walk around naked until I find a shirt without a green odor emitting from it.

– Wade through the dishes and find the sink so I can give the dogs water

– Find the dogs

– Pay the water bill

– Borrow neighbors hose until power and water are restored

– Figure out if husband and I are still married

– Go grocery shopping

– Jump the car so it will start

– Then go grocery shopping

– Drive around the dead bodies

– Ask the neighbor when the zombie apocalypse happened.

– Find out if husband and dogs were taken in zombie apocalypse

– Start edits for book #2

Maybe we should move on and talk…

About the Book

Never underestimate the power of a determined witch.

Letum Wood is a forest of fog and deadfall, home to the quietly famous Miss Mabel’s School for Girls, a place where young witches learn the art of magic.

Sixteen-year-old Bianca Monroe has inherited a deadly curse. Determined to break free before it kills her, she enrolls in the respected school to confront the cunning witch who cast the curse: Miss Mabel.

Bianca finds herself faced with dark magic she didn’t expect, with lessons more dangerous than she could have ever imagined. Will Bianca have the courage to save herself from the curse, or will Miss Mabel’s sinister plan be too powerful?
